About Me

I am an individual BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) counsellor, working in the Helmshore area. As well as being a qualified counsellor, I am married, with two children.

I know that life can be tough, money tight; obstacles seeming large and all put together can feel overwhelming. With life being hectic and stressful we deserve a gift to self sometimes, a pampering session or retail therapy can feel wonderful for an hour or two but Counselling can be the treat you give yourself that lasts. It can help give you clarity, raise your self-esteem, awareness, confidence and develop skills to move forward with your life towards self-fulfilment.  What better gift to yourself could you receive?

My aim as a counsellor is to use my skills to help you work through the problems and issues that you are struggling with, to help you find acceptance, become self-aware, empowered, seize back control of your life, restore your sense of well-being and to find a more positive outlook on life.
Being a Person Centred Counsellor, I realise that everyone is unique in life’s experiences, only you know what hurts and so I work in a respectful, non-directional, confidential, non-judgemental way, ensuring the right conditions are in place to help you to find answers
